visÀvis is a web-based visualization tool designed to assist scholars in recognizing patterns in annotated texts. The tool automatically imports tagged corpora from external annotation platforms and (re)presents them in various graphs and charts, provides comparative graphical tools for grouping the texts, and offers aggregative tools for inter- and intra-corpora relations.

Our Team

I am the conceptualizer and project lead of visÀvis and a Professor in the Department of History, Philosophy and Judaic Studies at the Open University of Israel. My research interests include late ancient and medieval Hebrew literature, comparative study of Jewish and Christian hymnography and of course computational literary studies.

I am Oren Mishali, a researcher at the TD&K Lab (Technion Data and Knowledge Lab). Since the inception of visÀvis, I have been actively involved in its development, particularly in specification and user experience.

As a seasoned web developer with expertise, I bring over 8 years of experience to our dynamic lab that seamlessly blends text research and coding. Currently, I'm passionate about leveraging my skills to transform text annotations into insightful visualizations and charts. Excited about the future, I aspire to explore the realms of deep learning to take our app to new heights..
